The Promise is a true story, one that weaves together trauma, grief, love, motherhood, and the long, raw process of reclaiming personal truth.

It spans lifetimes and carries threads of past lives, dreams, and synchronicities, but it remains rooted in lived experience. At its heart, it is the story of a soul-level vow, and what it takes to honour that promise through heartbreak, growth, and grace.

This book is not a guide, or a manual.
It’s a lived offering, shared in the hope that it might bring comfort, insight, or resonance to those walking through their own threshold moments.

Writing as a Work of Art

There’s a quiet kind of magic in writing, one that speaks not just to the world, but back to ourselves.

For many years, I’d forgotten how much I loved to write. Life demanded survival, not self-expression. But during deep healing and inner searching, words began to find their way back to me, first as verses scribbled in the middle of the night, then as reflections typed with shaking hands and an open heart.

Writing became my companion, my mirror, and my medicine. The Promise was born this way—verse by verse, breakthrough by breakthrough. One day I laid it all out and realised: this isn’t just my journal. This is a story. A soul story. And it’s time it was shared.

Like a painter starting with a blank canvas, I let the words come. I shaped, rearranged, paused, re-read, and kept going. Not until it was perfect, but until it was true. That’s when I knew it was done.

We are all works in progress, just like the words we write, rearranging, editing, transforming. There is no final draft of a life. Only chapters. Only flow.
